Common side effects

  • Rare but serious: toxin spread causing muscle weakness, trouble swallowing or breathing — seek emergency care

Do not use if

  • Allergic to botulinum toxin

  • Infection at injection site

  • Certain neuromuscular disorders (e.g., myasthenia gravis)

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding — discuss with provider

Procedure & recovery
